Una: In the last four and a half years of state government led by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, which gives priority to road, education and health, Una Sadar Vis area has been a witness to amazing development. Roads are also known as the fortune line, 61.77 crore rupees have been spent in the last year for laying net, maintenance and reinforcement of roads in the Una Vis region.
The Public Works Department has spent 31.20 crore on 8 major projects. The department’s SDO Una Arvind Chaudhary says that the Bhadolian Badaihar Chadatgarh road has been reinforced with the cost of Rs 3.01 crore and its work was completed in September 2018. The Una-Ajouli road was reformed at a cost of 13.20 crores, which was completed in November 2020. He said the reinforcement work of Una via Lalsingi road from Jhaleda bridge at a cost of Rs 3.55 crore was carried out in December 2018. While the reform of population climbers from Dehlan to Dayalan Mohalla and RTO Barrier to Jekhada via Rs 1.64 crore is going on.
He said that the work of bridges and road reforms on Rakkad Khuhi, railway crossing and Pekhubela pit has been completed in 2018 at the cost of Rs 1.31 crore. In addition, the reform work of Abada Barana road from Ajouli Road to Chadatgarh Upperli, from Bahadala to Jakheda Road at the cost of Rs 3.04 crore, from Ghandawal Road to Abada Barana Road was completed in the year 2020.
Same central government’s underground transport ministry has also spent Rs 30.57 crore on road maintenance under various projects in Una Sadar. NH’s SDO Rajesh said that Rs 3.07 crore has been spent on the improvement of road from Jhaleda to Mahatpur and 9.64 crore rupees on matting etc. Same Una Behdu NH reforms 13.15 crore till Pirnigah and 11 lakh rupees have been spent on repair works of entry gate in Mahatpur. In addition, the work of making crash barrier is going on at the cost of 4.60 crore.
Una Sadar has been immense development
Sixth State Finance Yoga Chairman Satpal Singh Satti said that there has been immense development in the Una Sadar Vis region in the last four and a half years. Projects worth more than Rs 1500 crore have been grounded, benefited by the people of Una. Roads are the lifeline of District Una and their maintenance and management has been done in a step manner. Some projects are pending for better management of traffic in urban areas of Una in the coming times and all sides will be work towards carrying these projects forward.
